We bow our heads to pray
And in god's name we say amen.
As we turn our heads,
Away from the ones who can’t get out of bed.
A mistake may be made,
But our sins are forgiven.
Even though we may be smitten,
Or hitting the ones we love.
Religion isn’t cleansing,
Its healing,
But where do we draw line
Between forgiving and forgetting?
