The world is so difficult to give up.
I am tied to it by small things - a palm of white rose petals, a frozen breath in cold air,
A shallow depth in streetside puddles, a recalcitrant jar of honey.
My eyes itch, noting movement, colour, and form.
The pounding on the intumescent chambers of my chest
Keep my unrequited eyes flickering with chapters of triumphant melancholy.
Predetermined day dreams flood my many nights prior.
Miniscule second thoughts coexist in strange nature with time's puppeteer.
For in a simple twist in the kaleidoscope of splintered memory,
I am jumbled, and weak,
Facing detachment as the broken beauty yet the impossible solution.
