Daring to take on the world I was so unceremoniously made a part of,
And praying to whomever or whatever is watching that this time
Life keeps itself from getting in the way of
Everything and anything I choose.
Asking for answers to questions that have never been asked;
Looking for something significant sticking out of the
Earth and finding nothing but bones and dust,
X-rays of the eras of this planet,
And all that we failed to do with it.
Knowing that I was put here for a purpose, and
Even when the clouds rip themselves open and
Rain their regrets down onto this
Effervescent graveyard of humanity,
My choice still matters.
